Considered as the oldest university in the state of New York and also listed among of the oldest universities around the world, Columbia University was founded in the year 1754 by Royal Charter of King George II of England named as King’s college.

The main attraction of the university is Low Memorial Library, built according to the Roman classic style and is now the place for the Columbia University’s central administration offices.

The Columbia university has got its main campus in the heart of New York City on Broadway. Other than that there are two more facilities located outside Irvington and Palisades. These other two facilities are Nevis Laboratories, used for nuclear physics and high energy experimental particle studies and The other is Lamont-Doherty Earth observatory.

Columbia University offers these programs in the Summer Session for 1-Week and 3-Weeks and also along with the academic year where the classes are held every Saturday.
  2. College Edge Programs
    Columbia Offers this program to students entering grades 11 or 12, or first year of college in the fall, as well as students that have graduated within the past two academic years. The program offers two sessions in summer and along with regular students in the Academic year as well. In the summer sessions the students are prepared for the highest academic levels that the world has to offer in future giving them an edge over the other students. In academic session the visiting students are offered the session alongside the regular students gaining them college credits in the process as well.
